4th of July Food!
For those of you celebrating the upcoming 4th of July holiday this weekend, I’ve got you covered for menu planning. Below, in one handy dandy place, are all the recipes I wish I could serve for an epic BBQ. You know, if I had five extra hands, 40 additional daylight hours and if I was actually socially motivated enough to throw a party of that magnitude. But at least I’m giving you options, right? You can narrow them down depending on which ones call out to you.
If I had to choose just one or two from each category, my 4th of July menu would (ok, will) look something like this:
Grilled Steak and Veggie Kebabs
Grilled Island Chicken
My Favorite Coleslaw
Fresh Green Bean Salad with Balsamic Dressing
Classic Potato Salad
Honey Lime Fruit Salad
Berries on a Cloud or S’Mores Cookie Bars
Ginger Ale Mint Limeade
Happy menu planning!
My kids love your red white and blue patriotic drink. That is always a hit. Thanks for the links to all the yummy stuff!
Thank you! ๐ Great list! You’re my go-to person for all holiday recipes!
Thanks Mel for the work that you put into this 4th of July collection of recipes. I’m looking forward to trying them and then adding them to my collection of “go to recipes”!
This is an awesome collection of recipes… some I haven’t seen before and some recipes that I’ve made with great success. I’m sure I will be checking this list again and again during the summer for ideas. Actually, I’m celebrating Canada Day today.
Was just looking through your site yesterday thinking “I should definitely make something from Mel for 4th of July” *panic ensues* there are too many delicious options! Thanks for narrowing them to help make my decisions slightly less difficult ๐
Love your post — reading all the possibilities is fun, even though I’m not having a BBQ, it’s fun to think about what I’d do if… ๐
Berries on a cloud is my absolute favorite dessert. I refuse to make it only for very special occasions so when wearing my skinny jeans I don’t look like the “Goodyear Blimp”. ๐ What a lovely post! Thank you for all the work you put into this post to categorize 4th recipes and place them easily at our fingertips. You truly spoil us. I don’t mean to be negative but you give us way too many choices. It will take me forever to try to choose what to make with every choice being so delicious. Happy 4th of July, Mel.
