Back to School Bosch Mixer Special {Huge Discount Code!}
Hey, friends! Today, I’m popping in really quickly to tell you about a deal that’s too good to pass up.
And it’s all about the Bosch! The Bosch stand mixer, that is.
You know, the appliance that I can’t live without. The mixer that I love as much as my children. The white hunk-a-hunk of burnin’ love that makes my kitchen complete.
I’ve owned a Bosch stand mixer for over 16 years, and it has blessed my life every single day.
Disclosure: some of the links in the post below are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.
Apparently the word has gotten out that I’m a huge (obsessive Bosch fan), and because of that, I’ve teamed up with L’Chef (the company that owns Bosch, Nutrimill and several other labels) to get you first access to some of the best Bosch packages and deals around, and right now, they are running a back to school bundle special that is AMAZING!
If you’ve been wanting to join the world of Bosch lovers (come over to the bright side!), right now you can get the Bosch Universal Mixer, blender, cookie paddles (I use these all.the.time), blender, and bowl scraper (great for small batches!) at a discount of nearly 20%.
This back to school bundle is over $100 off retail price!
Use the code: back2school after adding the back to school package to your cart, and the discount will be applied. {Free shipping, as well!}
I’ll be popping in now and again over the next few months giving you first access and early alerts to other specials on Bosch mixers/attachments/accessories!
In the meantime, if you are looking for more information on Bosch mixers (like, why the heck they are so awesome and how do they compare to other mixers), here is a link to a Kitchanaid vs. Bosch post I did last year.
But to be honest it is really the insane comment thread on that post that is incredible! Hundreds of people have chimed in with their deep, strongly held beliefs and thoughts about stand mixers, and the comments are enlightening and, at times, hilarious.
I am obviously a generational Bosch fan (my grandma and aunts have owned a Bosch mixer for as long as I’ve been alive…and probably before), and Bosch will have my loyalty forever, but even I’m learning more and more that the Bosch mixer can do more than just make bread!
Even though it is unparalleled in the area of breadmaking, in my opinion, there are many accessories and attachments on the market now so you can do everything from juice lemons and limes (looooove this citrus juicer attachment) to roll homemade pasta to make ice cream.
You can also see my Bosch mixer in action on several of these recipe posts where I’ve included step-by-step instructions:
French Bread Rolls
Yukon Gold Cinnamon Rolls
Gloria’s Perfect Cinnamon Rolls
Whole Wheat Quinoa Bread
Everyday Whole Wheat Bread
Anyway, feel free to ask any questions below in the comments, and keep an eye out for future posts (or social media alerts on Instagram and Facebook) about Bosch deals that are too good not to share.
Maybe I can even score Mel’s Kitchen Cafe readers a special holiday discount this year so you can add a Bosch mixer to your wish list without any guilt! 🙂
P.S. This stainless steel bowl for the Bosch is the blessed reason I can make seven (!!) loaves of bread at one time (I often double this whole wheat quinoa bread recipe for seven loaves). Considering my family goes through homemade bread at an alarming rate, this stainless steel bowl has been totally worth the investment.

Any discount codes for this year?? My kitchenaid died after 15 years, so I’m desperately needing a new mixer….Homemade pizza isn’t a joke by hand!
Sadly, I don’t think they are going to offer any codes this year because they are having such a hard time keeping the Bosch mixers in stock. I’m sorry!
Hi, Mel,
I would love to get a bosch mixer, I really would! But they’re so pricey, I can’t justify buying one without a sale.
Would you be able to check, please, and let us know if another sale is coming up?
That would be so kind and so appreciated.
Love your recipes and your blog!
Any idea if they are going to do the same sale in 2020? I’m in the market for a Bosch but want to get a good deal 🙂
I’ll check!
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Did you find out if there will be another sale?
Their products are flying off the shelves right now (with covid) so unfortunately, they aren’t planning on another sale right now.
Has anyone grated chocolate (bar or chips) with the slicer/shredder attachment? I just got it for Christmas and haven’t tried it yet. Any tips?
I have both the Bosch and a Vitamix. I’ve been trying to use the Vitamix as a food processor-type tool, and I’m not thrilled with that experience. I’ve been looking into getting the food processor attachment for the Bosch. Can you speak to that, and the difference between it and the slicer/shredder attachment?
Hey Laurie – the slicer/shredder attachment is pretty nice if you do a lot of grating cheese or slicing vegetables and it hooks onto the top of the Bosch bowl…the food processor is more for if you want to chop and mix things (like hummus or other dips – or even some sauces). The Bosch food processor is on the small side of things so for many recipes, you would need to split the batch in half.
I ordered this deal on the Bosch from your link here. My credit card was charged on August 30th, the day I ordered. Today, September 7th, when I still had not gotten an email saying it was shipped, I called to see what was happening. They had to look for 2o minutes to find the order. She said they have a new system and the orders are all lost. They can ship it on Monday. I cancelled the order because I am not sure how reliable of a company they are. I have a Bosch that is over 3o years old and would like to order a new one.
Oh darn it, Patti! I’m sorry that your experience was less than great. I can attest that they are a great company (I’ve ordered many products from them), but I totally understand your concern! I’ll touch base with the Bosch contact I have and forward on your concerns.
Hi Patti, me again. 🙂 Just wanted you to know that I’ve been in touch with my contacts at boschmixers.com and they are very apologetic that your experience ordering a mixer from them did not reflect their 30-year track record of well-known customer service. If you are willing to give them a second chance (and I totally understand if you aren’t), they would be more than happy to add a free attachment of your choice to your order of a Bosch mixer. Again, no pressure, but I just wanted to let you know that after emailing them back and forth, they truly do want to make things right.
Thank you for emailing them. I would be willing to do that. How should I contacted them? Email or calling them?
Hi Patti – I’ll tell them to contact you ASAP! (I’ll forward your email to them)
Thank You
They contacted me on Monday and I reordered. They were really nice. They shipped it right out and it came today. I would recommend this company.
Thanks for the update, Patti!
I used this code and my machine came today! I am so excited! Great deal! Thank you, Mel!
Deeann – yay! I can’t wait to hear how you like it!
Can you tell me about the bosh food processor? My kitchen aid one is dying and Im thinking about getting the food processor for my bosh. I’ve had my bosh for 11 years and love it!
Hey Whitney – the Bosch food processor is great. I used it for years before upgrading – the main reason I got a new one is because the Bosch food processor is pretty small. I couldn’t make most recipes in it without cutting them in half, but it’s great for shredding or grating.
I always get nervous making bigger purchases that I’m gonna buy the wrong thing and feel like I need to double and triple check things like…does the mixer that is part of the back to school package have the capacity for the larger stainless bowl? Are there any limitations or reasons you’d buy another one? Thanks so much for posting this!!!
I don’t blame you, Chelsey! Asking questions is my style, too, with big purchases (actually ANY purchase, haha). Yes, the large stainless bowl fits on the Bosch base that is being sold. I’m not sure what you mean when you ask if I’d buy another one…do you mean is there any reason I’d buy another type of mixer?
I have been eyeing the Bosch since you first mentioned it. My best friend comes from a long line of bread bakers, and they swear by the Bosch. I had a 7 qt. Cuisinart stand mixer that I loved, but it bit the dust after about 5 years. I make very large batches of cookies and cakes often. I then switched over to a Kitchenaid mixer and HATED it!!! I actually sold it at a loss for $100.
I have to say my mouth gaped open at the $525 price tag. Yikes! Have you had yours for 16 years, or have you had to replace it?
I hear you, Shaynee! The Bosch is definitely an investment! The Bosch I received as a wedding present 16 years ago (a combined gift from several relatives) is still going strong, but I don’t own it. I gave it to a friend several years ago after I bought the more sleek, compact body design (which is the one sold now). The Bosch I have now is probably 6-7 years old and working great (I use it 5-6 times a week). Many of my aunts still have their Bosch mixers they used when I was a kid – I think one of their mixers is over 30 years old.
When does the discount expire? Debating whether or not to pull the trigger (my birthday is in a week) and am wondering how long I have to stress about whether or not to buy it.
September 20!
This looks awesome! I would love to get this, unfortunately I can’t justify the cost right now. My KA really struggles making bread, even though I only make 2 loaves at a time. I’m so jealous of those who have one, hopefully some day I will be one of them.
I have been using my Bosch mixer for 37 years! It is fantastic and hands down the best kitchen appliance I have ever purchased. I used it almost daily for my large family and now for my grandchildren on a regular basis and it’s still going strong. I wouldn’t consider any other mixer.
How many loaves of bread can you make in the regular bowl?
I make recipes that make six loaves.
So excited to learn from you about the ice-cream maker attachment! What?!! Super excited to get one of those, so I’ll be waiting with baited breath for a special on accessories and attachments so I can pick one up and a replacement on my bowl scraper that broke….and um, maybe that citrus juicer.
Have you tried out the food processor attachment? I’m needing to replace mine and wonder if it makes sense to just buy the Bosch attachment instead of having another appliance. Wondering about its reputation. 🙂
Totally agree on getting rid of the blender stand. It just doesn’t perform on modern blender standards for us smoothie-generation folks….just in case they want to know how many of your readers back you up on that opinion.
Love my Bosch and it works hard for this large household!
Hey Brenley – I’m definitely going to be passing feedback on to the Bosch representatives I know. I think there are a lot of us out there that could see the blender tower go away and love the mixer even more (good point about the “smoothie generation”). As for the ice cream attachment, it is a great option if you love the old-fashioned rock salt/ice ice cream. I’ve tried the ice cream attachment a time or two and while it worked ok, I still find myself returning to my go-to ice cream maker (that doesn’t have the mess of rock salt and ice). But the citrus juicer is a staple in my house!
Okay, that is great to know about the Bosch ice-cream maker. You’re absolutely right. Who needs to deal with the rock salt and ice? Love the way you think!
I looked up your ice-cream maker recommendation and that Cuisinart is now on the wishlist. Thanks Mel for always keeping my wishlist long! Do you have a link I should use to purchase it on Amazon so you get the credit?…cuz you deserve it!
You are so sweet, Brenley! Thank you! I’d just go ahead and look around for the best deal on that ice cream maker and then bite the bullet and buy it! Not to muddy the waters any, but last year, I saved up and bought an ice cream compressor (so you don’t need to freeze the bowl first), and I have to say, it might be *almost* as life changing as the Bosch mixer. 🙂 I have a Whynter model for the ice cream compressor if you want to look into it (feel free to ask me more questions – nothing I love to talk about more than my Bosch, wheat grinder, and ice cream compressor! Ha)
Well you sold me on the Bosch Mel. My KA died a couple years back so I’ve just been old schooling my bread by hand….. until I saw your post and said enough is enough! Can’t wait to use it!
I can’t wait for you to use it, Blynn! When you have a second, let me know what you think! There’s a little bit of a learning curve after using a Kitchenaid for many years (from what others have said), so feel free to reach out if you have any questions as you get used to the Bosch mixer!
Love my Bosch. I use it every week to make a six loaf batch of bread. I’ve had it for years and it is a staple.
BUT does any one agree with me that the blender base makes the whole unit unnecessarily bulky? I would make that one change to it. I don’t love the blender attachment (the blender isn’t as effective as a Blentec or equivalent) so I kind of resent that when you buy a Bosch you have to deal with it. They should sell another Bosch mixer that doesn’t include the blender stand because then it wouldn’t be as difficult to store (smaller and shorter!) or as hard to carry (the blender base was the heavier side though making for an unevenly distributed weight).
Ive emailed Bosch this suggestion with no response; maybe it will take MelsKitchenCafe to put in a word! 😉
Totally agree! In my opinion the blender is worthless. Threw mine away years ago and the stand just sits there taking up extra space.
You make a VERY valid point, Rachel, and one I think I could really get behind! I don’t ever use the tall attachment tower for anything either (especially since many of the Bosch attachments go on the main mixer part), and I agree it is bulky. I might have to send that suggestion along of selling a separate model that doesn’t include that. Not that anyone at Bosch headquarters is listening to me, but it is worth a try!
I so agree!!! I used my blender once, and then I threw it in the back of my cupboard and returned to using my Blendtec. It’s a huge waste of space and weight. But I love the mixer, so it is one of those things you just deal with. But they need to change it. 🙂
Well, I splurged and got it! I made a double batch of your French bread rolls on Sunday and my Kitchenaid got very, very hot. I am taking that as a sign that I need this one in my life!
Oh my gosh, Anna – I’m so excited!! So excited. Email me ANY time as you start using it and need any little tutorials. You’re going to love it.
Thank you for the kind and generous offer! Your recipes and tutorials have helped me not be afraid of making bread! I am now much more confident about my bread making abilities thanks to your encouragement. I am also hopeful that the larger capacity of the Bosch will make my extensive Christmas cookie baking so much easier!
I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Well, I tried it for the first time this weekend! It was great! I tagged you on my instagram post! It was the first time I have been able to make the entire wheat bread recipe! I held my breath, but it mixed without a problem. My KA would have burnt up. Looking forward to wheat quinoa bread… that one will be a breeze! Thanks!
So excited to hear that, Anna! Yay!! I’ll go try to find your post on Insta!
I am sure you have a ton of them, I just didn’t know how to actually send you an email! I made a second batch yesterday, using half wheat flour and half all purpose and it was heavenly! I think the gluten with old in the first batch I made and it didn’t rise enough – plus, with the second batch, I let it rise twice instead of once. It was beautiful and heavenly! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Hi Mel! I have wanted a Bosch for over a decade. I love bread, and I would love to make bigger batches. I was given a KitchenAid years ago, and I have been waiting for it to die. This deal sounds amazing. The Bosch website has more accessories listed in the “back to school bundle” than you put in your post, but the picture is limited to the pieces you mentioned. Do you know if it includes the dough hook? I have a Blendtec, so I am not interested in the blender, but I really want the dough hook. Thank you for your amazing website!
Rachael, I was in the same boat as you but I splurged and bought the Bosch on sale at Thanksgiving, it is awesome for making bread but I still use my KitchenAid for smaller jobs like making cookies. If you really don’t want two mixers sell your KitchenAid, you may get $20-50 for it to put towards the Bosch, if it dies you’d get $0:)
Hey Rachael! I think the website got updated with the correct info, but YES, it does come with a dough hook. Here’s the full list of what is included:
Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Mixer
Wire Whips
Cookie Paddles with Metal Whip Driver
Dough Hook
Dough Hook extender
Blender
Bowl Scraper
Hey Mel, I was curious if you have much use for or insight into the Bosch blender that comes in the Back to School package? Is it worth getting?
Great question, Louise. I definitely think if you don’t have a high-powered blender (like a Blendtec or Vitamix), the Bosch blender is a great next-best option. It’s not as powerful as a Blendtec or Vitamix but I used the Bosch blender exclusively for almost a decade before upgrading to a Blendtec (and then a Vitamix) and I never had any complaints.
Mel-I have never commented-but I have been on your blog since the early days-when you first started out I would check on your blog a couple times a day just for the traffic:). And look at you now! (I’m Jeremy Comin’s sister. )Love your recipes-make your oatmeal pancake mix every week and have converted tons of people to it and to your blog. I’ve been horrible at bread-but want next year to be the year of bread (sounds amazing!) and the Bosch would help! I will check out the deals!
So fun to hear from you, Sarah!
I TRULY love my Bosch, but a couple caveats might be in order for the average buyer. I replaced my commercial KA mixer with a Bosch, and it beats the pants off it for capacity, and being able to handle a huge load without lugging the motor or stripping out gears (common prob w/KA). HOWEVER, it is NOT a total replacement, and you should be aware that making a double batch of marshmallows in it will melt the plastic collars on top of the whisk beaters, and possibly slightly malform the plastic bowl (a SS one is on my wish list), and when using the slicer/shredder attachment to grate butter for large qty’s of pastries, it will destroy the plastic gear that the blade turns on if butter is frozen solid…..*sigh* Perhaps I should just stop abusing my appliances……
I agree that the Bosch is not a replacement for the KitchenAid. When I make cookies I never reach for my Bosch because that center post is so dang annoying to clean or scrape. The KA is perfectly awesome for cookies, even large batches. My Bosch bowl has a crack in it so that metal bowl would be nice. Not sure it would fit my old school style of Bosch, though.
Yep, I agree, Sharon – the Bosch and Kitchenaid are almost like comparing apples to oranges. They each have their strengths and definitely their weaknesses.
I love my Bosch mixer! I have had it for years. I don’t have the bowl scraper that you are using in the cookie pictures. I can see that it would be a great attachment to save time when mixing smaller batches. I will definitely look at the attachments to see what else I can add to my Bosch set up.
Hey Susie! Glad you are a fan of the Bosch! It’s a hard one to live without once you are used to using it.
I want to comment on the Bosch mixer. I treated myself a few months ago and bought one, money well spent. I love this mixer and love that it has a cover, no more flying dust while mixing. Great mixer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So happy you love your Bosch, Joan!
Hi Mel!
Does the stainless steel bowl really have a higher capacity? It looks like it would, especially with no center column, but the website specs are the same as the regular plastic bowl (6.5 quarts or 15 pounds of dough). I often wish I could make larger batches of bread, so this is intriguing! Sometimes I’ll do two rounds of breadmaking just to stock up the freezer, but that takes a long time!
Hey Catherine, I just ran into my kitchen and filled both the stainless bowl and the traditional white bowl up with water to check it out for sure. I filled the stainless bowl up to the lip (so about 1/2 inch away from the top) and I fit 6.5 quarts of water. I filled the white bowl up mostly to the top of the center column and I fit about 5.75 quarts of water. Based on that, the specs do look really similar, but I can attest from personal experience that because the stainless steel bowl has the European-style dough hook in the bottom of the bowl vs the center white column in the traditional Bosch bowl, I can make several more loaves of bread dough in the stainless bowl than in the white bowl. The surface area in side the stainless bowl is all wide open and is conducive to large batches. The classic white bowl is still a workhorse – I mean, I can make 5-6 loaves of bread using that bowl, but it’s at full capacity and sometimes spilling out. Being able to make that extra loaf of bread in the stainless bowl is great for my large family, but obviously may not be necessary for a lot of other bread makers. 🙂
Thank you Mel, you’re the best! I am seriously considering getting the bigger bowl now.
I would love to cook for you. We will watch football, great food for such an event because pizza is already sick of. When I cook it I will tell you my emotions and how it tastes, I am worried about it, but I hope that everything will be okay. Thank you again for such a recipe. I am looking forward to seeing some new delicious from you and my friends also)) Have a great day and take care! Kind regards, Your fan John
