- Butter - Powdered sugar - Cocoa powder - Salt - Vanilla extract - Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

With a handheld electric mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle or whisk attachment, mix the softened butter until light and creamy, 1-2 minutes.

STEP 2

Add the powdered sugar. Sift the cocoa powder into the bowl.

STEP 3

Add the salt, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of the milk.

STEP 4

Mix on low speed, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed, until the ingredients are mostly combined.
