In my fantasy kitchen/cooking world, there are several stores that I could spend the rest of my life in. No, really. Like, hide out under one of the large urns so as not to be discovered and make myself at home. For forever.
Since I live smack dab in the middle of Wisconsin, I don’t get the lavish opportunity to visit any of my favored kitchen/home stores very often. But when I do leave my neck of the woods and traverse the state to Chicago, Minneapolis or even far out west to Portland (where my in-laws live), I always make a point to stop somewhere and gaze and gawk at all the things I am mentally adding to my wish list.
Among the stores that I love, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel rank right up there. So today, I’m giving away TWO $100 gift cards to your store of choice from my favorite list of three. I’ll contact the winners and they can specify to which store they’d like to receive the gift card.
To enter, leave ONE comment on this very post telling me the #1 item topping your wish list right now (even if it isn’t kitchen/cooking related).
My top wish list item (dear husband, are you reading this??) is this glass drink dispenser from Pottery Barn. Major Love. Major.
I’ll announce the winners on this post probably right around Thursday morning when my favorite and final giveaway of the series will appear. Oh, I can’t wait!
{Giveaway sponsored by me. Sad as it is to admit, none of the three stores listed above have any stinking idea who I am. I’m off to mourn that knowledge…and pore over their catalog pages to add more delicious things to my wish list.}
I am really in need on a food processor or a mixer of some sort so that I can make some goodies for my family and boyfriend. First real grown up apartment so need some kitchen essentials!
ooops!! I feel silly!!! That give-away has been given away!!! Well? I love your website and will get my juicer some day!!!! Thanks for all the yummies!!!
I am a fairly new home owner so I have a gazillion things on my wish list…..but a Breville Compact Juicer from Crate&Barrel would be awesome!!! My three sons would have a blast helping and making their own fruit juice concoctions!!!! MMMMM!!!
I am a failry recent new home owner and have TONS
Oh man this is very hard to just pick since I’m in love with all the stories just like you!! As a newlywed we still need so much and I truly love to cook for my new hubby but I would have to go with Pottery Barn sheet’s since they are high in price. I would just love to crawl into them every night! LOL
I have been desiring a Nordic Ware Heritage Bundt Pan. The famous swirl pattern would be perfect to decorate for holidays.
My husband and I sent to Puerto Rico (he had gone while in the National Guard) and he hooked me up with a wonderful drink called a Strawberry Frappe. I paid really close attention to the vendor while he was making it so I knew the ingredients. It was really really hard for me to find this recipe- as most googling with that name produced a different drink. I finally found it- simple and DELICIOUS. Try it in your blendtec- I bet it’s amazing! ( I probably add a bit more strawberry than this- but adjust as you go):
1/2 cup strawberries
1 cup ice
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp brown sugar (or maple syrup or regular sugar) **I use brown
Mix in blender (the recipe actually says sprinkle the sugar on top- but the vendor mixed it in. maybe you can do a bit of both).
I struggle with home decorating. I could really use a little bit of decor to cozy up my home.
Not kitchen related – a king-sized bed!
Stainless steele all clad frying pan!!!!

WISH list? …. I only have a “need” list LOL After 20yrs of marriage, 6 children ages 14-2 (5 of them boys)…the needs are endless. If I could replace anything it would be the dishwasher (and I don’t mean me :o) since I have to hand clean it every month as it’s so cheap!!
More than anything I want a new lens for my camera as I’m venturing into wedding photography. In the kitchen though, I’m still dreaming of getting Wusthof knives.

Oh, I would love to own my first piece of Le Creuset cookwear! Williams Sonoma, please! What a great giveaway!
I have 2 things on the top of my list. Kitchen related: an immersion blender, which in my small NYC apartment seems like just another item to take up space but it would make soup making so much easier. Non Kitchen Related: new curtains for my bedroom…
After reading all these comments, I can’t decide what I want. Maybe a new pair of boots, or a great pan!
Top of my list is an immersion blender! I know they’re not that expensive, but I just haven’t gotten around to getting one yet. 🙂
I got a lot of things on my list for Christmas, but right now I’m realizing I could use a set of mixing spoons! Mine are going downhill!

Easy to cook recipes!!! 😀
Id have to say I totally agree with you not being able to shop at any of those stores unless I drive 4 hours or more to get to any of them. Wish I could take a cooking class at Williams Sonoma but that just isnt possible but I do have a few wants there!! I knew my answer immediately because I’ve been trying to justify it for years…. Williams and Sonoma’s iSi Mini Cream Whipper. Is there anything more magical than pouring in cream, sugar and vanilla and pushing a button instead of mixing and wondering and adding more?! Anything with a N2O cartridge has to be cool, right? Why mini? So I could find some other cool gadget I never knew I needed and get that too!
I would love to get dinnerware and my top choice would be Williams-Sonoma.
The top thing on my list at the moment would be to organize my pantry!! I’m almost done with a small kitchen remodel, but my pantry hasn’t been touched. It needs some love and a gift card to one of those stores would get it going! Thanks for the giveaway!!

A playroom! Here is a funny for you. So we have all these lovely new Christmas toys in our kids rooms and a 3 year old with an attitude. (Girls are fun and cute, and mine is my best friend, but boy she gives me a run for my money. Congrats on yours, you will absolutely love having a girl, but I’m sure you’ll totally understand what I’m saying. ) My husband keeps sending her to time out in her room, and every time he does I just laugh at him and remind that she LOVES that kind of time out. Oh, and to add to it, I totally should have a play room by now. I married a carpenter! But don’t they always say the shoemakers kids never have shoes 😉 The goal is to have it done this spring, and I could totally use a Pottery Barn gift card to decorate and organize. Unless I get selfish and want to get a different gift card and organize the kitchen. Sorry to ramble on.
piping tools of course!
I’m working on a new play rooms for my kiddos, there are too many things to list that I’d love to have from Pottery Barn! But probably some of their super cute storage bins would be top on my list 🙂

The top thing on my list… new spoons. For the oddest reason (which I am yet to discover) all but 2 of my spoons have gone missing over the course of 6 months. Not the forks or the knives, just the spoons. It probably has something to do with my creative 3 year old but I am yet to find them. They have disappeared forever.

Mine is kind of big. I want to do a major… and I mean MAJOR remodle to our house. We bought our house right before the economy went south. It’s in the perfect location and it’s a perfect lot but my kitchen is a hallway. Our plan was to buy it and remodle it and now we can’t!! scream!
Um how about a house? We’re doing apartment living right now, and a house is probably at the top of my list. (And THEN I would have the cupboard space to store cool kitchen things.)

Other things at the top of my wish list right now is fabric and Accuquilt dies so I can make a baby quilt for our next Grandchild due mid-Feb.
Thanks for the great chance. I know what you mean about having to drive to go to those great stores. We have about 1 1/2 hrs to drive into Schaumbrug to Williams and Sonoma and then I have to be careful not to visibly dool as I wander the store. lol
A KitchenAid mixer! I’ve always disliked making cookies because of the creaming butter step being hard to do by hand, but I make cakes, brownies, crumbles, etc to share with my friends and family all the time. I would like to add cookies to my arsenal. I also started making bread from scratch basically a year ago (I’m 22 and in college) and I’ve gone nuts; I make bread about once every couple weeks, I have a sourdough starter, and I would make bread to the point of replacing store-bough sandwich bread (we eat sandwiches for lunch most days) if it were a little easier on the wrists (plus I have to kneel on a bar stool usually since I’m so short relative to the counter to get leverage). I just started making pasta as well and the pasta roller attachment would be amazing.
The top of my list would definitely be a blendtec blender! They are AMAZING! I mean really how many blenders out there can make soup and make it hot?!
I would love a new blender or really nice kitchen tools, spatulas, wood spoons, etc. Just something matching and not so beat up like my current tools!

I would love to get a real blender, like the ones they have at Jamba Juice. My husband and I make green smoothies every day together and our blender just doesn’t cut it 🙂
I would love a new bedspread for the bed. Ours is old, stained and starting to rip, but with two kids who are always cuddling on it with us, it never seems to get replaced. Maybe it’s time!
Anything that would update my living room!
A KitchenAid shiny red mixer! Thank you so much!
A clean kitchen 🙂
Food processor please. I’ve wanted a good one for years. Oh, and also a Bosch. That’s a close second.

#1 on my list…a juicer. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
I want a bread machine!
I really want a Kitchenaid mixer, but the one I want (the 7 qt, 1.3 hp) is so expensive that I haven’t bought it yet. $100 would help my budget out with that a lot! Thanks, Mel!
Those are my three favorite stores, too! I hope I win! Right now I’d really love a pizza peel and stone. Specifically an Emile Henry stone and an Epicurean peel.

The Pasta Bianco Platter from Williams-Sonoma! I am slowly but surely trying to establish a fruits-and-veggies theme in my kitchen, so I think that the platter will complement my collection perfectly. I’d really love some new black cowboy boots! And they are definitely kitchen related…because without my boots, I am miserably depressed and won’t get near a kitchen unless it is to devour a pint of ice cream.
All I’ve wanted for around 10 years now was my very own stand up mixer… you know.. the bright red KitchenAid one… someday it will be mine! 🙂
This cute chandelier at Pottery Barn!!! To replace the hideous, brass 1960’s lantern (it should be in a pool hall) that hangs above the kitchen table in our new house.

I really need new pots and pans! We got a really nice set for our wedding and they have held up well, but after 13 years it is time to say good-bye. Now the question is stainless steel or non-stick? P.S. Crate and Barrell is my favorite store ever!!!
I would like a good-quality non-stick skillet.
#1 item on my wishlist is a kitchen island/buffet/server…. basically more counter space!
Oh my goodness there are so many things that I would love to get. I am just starting to get my kitchen stocked with the things that I “need”. But I would really love some nice wooden spoons, and my dear husband just broke our blender so I could use one of those too. 🙂
I would like more serving dishes and a hostess serving set. I also need a cheesecake pan. We registered at Crate and Barrel when we were married 15 years ago. Wish I could shop there more often. I love all 3 stores.
Le Creuset enameled cast-iron pots, oh they would be so lovely! Great giveaway, thanks!!
someday I would really love to have a glass top stove with double oven. i drool whenever i see one!
Hmm… I think that one of the things on the top of my list would be a nice food processor, and in the non-kitchen realm, baby #2! 🙂
I want a kitchen mill . . . or whatever that thing is that you turn the handle and the food gets mushed through. By the way, love your blog and recipes and all your great ideas. Your recipes are The Best! Really. I’m a grandma and a good cook and YOU teach me something every day. Thank you.
I would love a new set of cooking pans! Some of mine are looking pretty sad!
I have a Silhouette cameo on my list right now. A dream wish of course. But maybe someday!
Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome giftcard!!
I think a nice food processor would be at the top of my list. Thanks! 🙂
On the top of my wish list right now is a new Kitchenaid or Bosch mixer!
I would love a wheat grinder.
What a generous give-away, Mel! AndI’d be happy to camp out with you in any one of those three stores! It looks like every other person has a food processor at the top of his or her list, but that is definitely at the top of mine. I didn’t get one for Christmas, so I was hoping for my anniversary… We’ll see!
A nice, sturdy dutch oven.
I would love a blentec blender
I want a new stock pot! The handle broke on my old one 🙁
I’ve always wanted the candy apple red Kitchen Aid stand mixer !
I still want an Ipad. Thanks for the great giveaway!
We are in desperate need of a new kitchen table and chairs! 18 years old, three kids, six major moves on two continents!
I want a chopper!
New blender
I need some new baking sheets and silpat.
To lose the baby weight!
The top of my very long wish list are curtains–somehow I just find them too intimidating to even buy (I don’t want to make my house look like a granny’s) so my windows stare back at me cold and boring.
So bummed that I missed the silpat giveaway so keeping my fingers crossed about this one. I love Crate and Barrel. And I really want one of those pastry mats that have circles to show you how to roll out pie crust because I really want to make pie crust from scratch but I’m SURE that I need one of those mats!!!
A decent meat thermometer!!
A new kitchen in a home of our own where I can cook more. We’re in a rental right now where the kitchen is awful. On a smaller scale, a good sized food processor. I have a little prep one right now that is too limited.
I really want a juicer!!!! Help get me get into my wedding dress this August!!
I would love a real panini maker. Getting tired of washing both a frying pan and the bottom of a cast iron pan everytime I make a panini.
My current oven is over 25 years old so that is at the top of my wish list! It would be great to have a consistent temperature for baking and a stove top that is not tilted! No more pots sliding off the burners would be lovely…
Mel, I would looooove to have a butter dish. Simple, right? Yet somehow I’ve never gotten around to getting one yet. It would be great to have my butter covered so that my lovely children would perhaps manage to not squish it around as they do now when it’s just in a bowl on the counter! As a side-note, I have LOVED your blog since discovering it a few months ago. I can’t count how many recipes I’ve made off of it, (but i know it’s a lot!) and it’s just the right amount of inspiration/humor I need to encourage me to get a meal on the table every night, so thank you!!!
Mel, I’m wishing for a new desk (one with drawers) or a nice food processor.
A really tough blender!
Ok, not food related at all but I’m in need of a new vacuum. Boring, I know but that tops my wish list. Food related though I’d love a kitchen scale – it’s like a luxury item I’d just love to have someday soon.
A marble pastry board for candy making. I really wished I had one over the holidays
