  25. Molly says:

Living with a roommate that completely steers away from “fattening” things and sticks to a plain sandwich and low-fat ranch covered salad for dinner almost every night, I had to spice things up, being the foodie I am. She absolutely loves apple crisp, so within the last year, I’ve probably made around 30 different variations. Different apples, different cooking temps, different ingredients, different amounts. I can never seem to find one with the perfect tenderness of apples, perfect crispy, streusal-y topping, and the perfect autumny-sit-by-the-fire warmth that goes along with apple crisp. I can only imagine the wonder and glory that the chefs/bakers at Cook’s Illustrated have come up with for the perfect apple crisp recipe.

My mom hasn’t passed down a teaching ‘how to’ lesson yet, but I am yearning to make kalbi for my husband. It is truly the best marinated Korean meat out there. So to summarize, it would tickle me fancy to find a great kalbi recipe 🙂
