Whipped Frosted Lemonade
This whipped frosted lemonade is incredibly simple and so refreshing and delicious. All you need are four simple ingredients and a blender!
The end result is a super tasty lemon-flavored icy beverage, but you can easily add other fruits for flavored lemonade variations!

Ingredients for Whipped Frosted Lemonade
Seriously, this recipe could not be easier. Like, don’t blink or you might miss it!
Four simple ingredients for frosted lemonade:
- Ice cubes: nothing fancy here – regular ice cubes from the freezer will do the trick!
- Heavy Cream: this ingredient gives the “whipped” taste and texture. We’ve subbed in half-and-half with good results, too.
- Lemon Juice: the key is to use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the brightest, freshest taste. Don’t sub in bottled lemon juice.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: this powerhouse of an ingredient lends an extra boost of creaminess as well as the necessary sweetness to balance the tart lemon juice.
I know it may be mildly annoying to open a can of sweetened condensed milk and not use all of it, but the leftovers can easily be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. OR, just make more frosted lemonade!
Flavor Variations
We’ve been making this frosted lemonade on repeat. In doing so, we’ve found that it is deliciously adaptable to other fruit combinations.
How to make other flavors of frosted lemonade: to make different flavor variations, replace 1/4 to 1/3 of the ice with frozen fruit, like frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, huckleberries, and more!
We still have a few lingering bags of precious huckleberries in our freezer from picking them last summer. I’ve been hoarding safeguarding them, and after a lot of soul searching, I decided to use a vavluable 1/2 cup in a version of this frosted lemonade. It will live on as one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Incredible!
{My 13-year old would like me to inform you that she often whips this drink up on her own (and loves to do so when she has friends over), and her favorite variation is adding frozen strawberries!}
Quick Note About the Blender
This concoction will whip up much smoother and far easier in a high-powered blender, like a Ninja, Vitamix, or Blendtec. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried making it in a blender other than a Vitamix, so I can’t vouch for how it will turn out with a regular-powered blender.
If you don’t have a high-powered blender, start with less ice and add gradually depending on what the blender can handle.
This is such a fun summer drink! And because lemons and frozen fruit are year-round available, you can enjoy it anytime you need a refreshing little pick-me-up.
It has become a favorite treat for us, and I can’t wait for you to try it! 🍋

Soooo good! Such a delicious summer treat! My girls and I all loved it! So glad I tried this, thank you for sharing!
My 12 year old son wanted me to tell you, “Mel, you are the BOMB!!!” This drink was awesome!! We made the lemonade version and the strawberry one. My kids were excited at the thought of making this all year long.
Oh, that made my day, Natalie!! Will be showing your son’s passed-along message to my own teenagers. Haha.
Yummmm — so refreshing!
Had all of the ingredients, so decided to make this on a whim, and everyone loved it! I did half strawberry like you said Cam likes, and my kids all agreed that was a great decision. I did more condensed milk because my husband and kids like things sweeter. 🙃 Thanks for sharing, Mel!
Glad you and your family liked this, Arlene! Thanks for letting me know!
Forgot to add stars, oops!
Hope that Cam is fully recovered soon, and that both kids have a great school year!
Delicious! We made it as written except subbed Fresh lime juice (and one lemon) because that’s what we had on hand. I love tart flavors and this really hit the spot on a muggy summer day.
Yum, yum, Susan!! Love those changes!
We are big frosted lemonade fans and this was a hit! So easy to whip up and much cheaper than buying them.
Yay, Jessica! Thanks for letting me know you loved it!
This is SO good! It’s like a lemon version of your frozen hot chocolate! We also think it tastes like the Magnolia Lemon Pie as a drink! I’ll definitely make this again! I always have all of those ingredients on hand!
Didn’t have lemons- so subbed in oranges. Not strong enough flavor. So tomorrow we’ll try again but with lemons.
Made it with lemons. Yuuuum!
Happy you loved this, Katrina – thank you!
What a fun treat! In case anyone is wondering, I used an entire can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz) and tripled the other ingredients to make enough for my large family (about 7 servings). Also, I did use bottled lemon juice and it was still very tasty 😉 thanks for this pick-me-up, Mel!
Great feedback for making a larger batch, Betsy. Thank you!!
I made this today for my grandkids who came over. We have a lemon tree in the backyard so it was easy to do & just needed the condensed milk cause I already had the 1/2 and 12. We all loved it because it was so yummy & refreshing!! Can’t wait to try the other flavors. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Lucky grandkids, Vi!! And lucky you for having a lemon tree – how fun! So happy you all enjoyed this!
Please no eye rolling, but I am one of those low carb/keto adjacent folks. I just made this with my homemade sweetened condensed milk (I guess an eye roll really could be warranted, lol). It was so yummy and hit the spot. Thank you! What a treat. 🍋😊💛
No eye rolling here, Jana!! I’m super impressed with the homemade sweetened condensed milk. You are amazing!
I read this as soon as it posted. Then, I ran to the pantry for sweetened condensed milk. Yes! I had some! So, I made this. And it was delicious! The recipe was perfect for 2 glasses – one for me and one for my husband. All the kids are at school, so I didn’t have to share!
And now, a few hours later, I figured I should review it. Considering I’m going to make a second batch for the kids when they get off.
My lemon juice (Aldi) was a tad more sour than I expected, but the husband loves it. So, I’m going to try adding some berries or pineapple juice for the kiddos.
Courtney, yay!! I’m thrilled you loved this after making it so fast (and a million bonus points to you for having a pantry stocked with sweetened condensed milk!!).
What I want to know is, how is Cam 13??!! 😭😭😭
Oh my gosh, Josie, RIGHT?? It’s unbelievable how that happened so fast.
Try it with peaches! You won’t regret it!
Forgot about this refreshing drink! Adding ingredients to my shopping list.
Some stores carry sweetened condensed milk in squeeze bottles…..
Ooooohhh, peaches! Yes, such a great idea!
Hi Mel! I’m so excited you loved and published your version of this to the blog. Perfect for summer. Enjoy your last week of it before starts!
Thanks so much for sending me the recipe from your local newspaper, Teresa – that made my day!!
