As mentioned last week, I went and had our sweet Miss Camryn last Wednesday. She is beyond precious and although the chaos of life with four little boys and now a little girl has not ended, we are absolutely eating up our time with a cuddly, snuggly, sweet-smelling newborn.
Because I am spending eternal amounts of time parked on the couch feeding the babe and simultaneously attempting to read books and give the dudes their allotment of attention, I will be checked out of blogging – hit and miss here and there – for a bit. But I wanted to let you all know that while I may be a little slow in answering comments and questions, I am nothing if not prepared, and I worked around the clock before Camryn arrived to post recipes regularly for you – all of which are currently prescheduled and waiting in queue for your viewing pleasure. And I have to say there are some doozies coming up. So while I may be in and out of blogging for awhile, continue to enjoy the recipes that will be automatically posting and know I’ll be back in the saddle again soon.
But really, can you blame me for temporarily abandoning you for this?

Don’t blame you at all! Enjoy this most precious time! We brought Lilly home from China at six months. She was only 15 pounds and 24″, couldn’t sit up by herself, had only had formula, and couldn’t roll over…so she’s was our “newborn”. By the end of our first week in China, she was sitting up by herself and rolling over! She just needed a little attention and some core strengthening and she took off from there!
Just post some pics now and then so we can get our baby fix!!
Congratulations! I can’t imagine doing all you do already without having a newborn. Bless you for doing it with a newborn too! Whew! Makes me worn out just thinking about it. Camryn is beautiful. She will have 4 protective brothers looking over her. I feel bad for her first boyfriend.

My oldest son has 4 boys and then their girl came…they were all just here for a week of visiting…my lap isn’t large enough for all the little ones gathered around for reading…this Oma loves reading! Had a granddaughter born two days ago too, so baby sat the two older brothers for the last few days….great Oma therapy!’
I have had my 5th child 7 months ago and your recipes have helped give me tons of dinner ideas at a time when my brain isn’t quite back to “normal”. What a beautiful little doll! Congratulations to you all. Have so much fun with her because those babies are not there very long. Pretty soon she will be like a kitten and turn into a cat–a nice one, of course, but, still a cat. There is so little time between birth and 18. Enjoy every moment.
Yesterday was my birthday. I spent part of it with one son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. It was so very sweet to have the five-year old want to sit on my lap and snuggle and say “I love you” and “Happy Birthday, Grammie!” a hundred times. I hope the same for you with your little family.

When I had my last baby I realized that dishes and laundry and errands and cooking and cleaning and homework and chaos are always there BUT a newborn is not. Congrats! Every family needs atleast one little girl! My sister had 5 boys…and then gave up. I tell her every day she needs to try it one more time {I told her that with the last two…and they were both boys}. They will all make great missionaries on day! I have six little kiddos myself…one boy on each end and 4 girls in the middle. It will amaze you how different a little girl will be! I am excited for you!
