Pizza Sauce FAQs
I use leafy oregano.
The tomato paste helps thicken the sauce so just keep an eye on the consistency if using fresh tomatoes.
Of course- its just a matter of preference.
You could blanch and peel them and use them in place of the diced tomatoes.

Amazing Mel your the best!
I planned to make pizza sauce and was out of crushed tomatoes but had cans of diced tomatoes and tomato paste. I found this recipe after a quick google search. I’m blown away how good it is! And no simmering! This is my new go to pizza sauce.
Delicious and quick! We’ve made this so many times over the past couple of years. Also a great dipping sauce for toasted ravioli!
Hard pass on this one. Way too much paste. 1 Tablespoon at the most….bitter tasting. Use whole tomatoes but not that much paste.
Delicious! Several times I’ve skipped the pizza and just eaten the sauce!
How long will this pizza sauce last in the fridge?
Probably 3-4 days.
I Make this frequently. I have left it in the refrigerator and used it over a period of a week and it is still fine. I also cook it for about 10 minutes, and refrigerated at least overnight before I use it the sauce is amazing
