Mel’s Personal Favorite Recipe Picks of 2021
Yesterday I shared the 10 most popular recipes of 2021, but today I’m being a little bit selfish and sharing my personal top favorite recipe picks of recipes posted in 2021.
A few of them are the same as yesterday’s top 10, but many are different. What can I say, I’m a sucker for chocolate, and there was not enough chocolate on yesterday’s roundup. 🙂
I know I’m like a broken record, but I sure appreciate you being here. This blog would be nothing without you. And that is an eternal truth.
See you in 2022! So, so many good things to come next year, I can feel it.
Any specific recipes you want to see show up next year? Comment below and I’ll add them to my list!
I loved your lemon cookies they are sooooooo good!
Okra! Eggplant! And more sourdough. Sourdough tortillas?? Also, meringue. I have a chocolate meringue pie I make for my father in law every birthday and father’s day, but I can never get the meringue how I want. I’ve thought about emailing you but I have not remembered to do that. Maybe I will send you the recipe. You’re my go to blog for any recipe! Thank you.
And acorn squash. It’s probably been a decade since I tried to make a stuffed acorn squash recipe because the few I tried were blah. I would trust you to give me a good one!
Love your easy dinner recipes. And of course anything chocolate. Happy New year Mel
I need some more quiche recipes in my life. Also maybe some brussel sprouts and muddy buddies for good measure.
Happy New Year, Mel!!! Last night I made your chicken bacon ranch crunchy wraps – another winner. As we sat down my son said, these look really great. I said, it’s a Mel’s recipe, these are going to be awesome. And they were! I am so thankful for the love, time and commitment you have to your site. I’ve been coming here for such a long time and always come back for the amazing recipes and the connection you have with your readers. I hope your 2022 is so wonderful and full of joy and love!
Your lemon cheesecake recipe is Devine!
Tried 5 of these 10 and loved them all. Will add the other 5 to my list. I still need to figure out how to find a sour dough starter…..Love you Mel! You are a rock star! Happy New Year and wishing you and yours the BEST 2022!
Mel, I sure appreciate YOU being here!!!! Loved all your picks! I am also really ready to put 2021 in the past- it’s been a whopper of a year! Thanks for blogging a bright space in all the ‘stuff’, and for sharing your farm-I’ve never loved pigs so much!! All the best to you and yours!
(PS. Also, I’ve LOVED Prepear, thanks again!)
I love so many of your recipes and use them regularly! You are a blessing in my life and to my family!! I just made the peppermint bark cheesecake for the first time for Christmas Eve and it was super yummy. You have so many great cheesecakes I want to try….next time you post one can you show how it looks coming out of the oven? That’s the trickiest part for me, knowing when to take it out. Or another suggestion would be Instant Pot cheesecake. I also love anything cinnamon and I don’t think you have a cinnamon quick bread, like with a coffecake vibe in a loaf or muffin? Thanks for everything you do and Happy New Year!
I am always on your blog and love it! Anything with an air fryer since I got one for Christmas
I love everything about your blog and I think you do an incredible job!
This was a delicious year! Thank you!!
My favorite was also your cranberry pomegranate salad! So bright and fresh with so many fun textures!
Have a happy new year!! :)))
I like your personal favorites list better! Haha! I was surprised I had only made 1 from yesterday’s list but from your list have made or plan to make more than half! I’ve got to say that my favorite of the year is the Samoa chocolate pudding dessert! I think it might have snuck into one of my favorite desserts of all time! I even loved the leftovers, even though the crust was pretty soggy after the first day I couldn’t stop eating it because I LOVE the flavor!! Definitely best the first day before it’s soggy though, ha! Thanks so much Mel! Your site has been my most visited site on my phone for years now, love your posts and your recipes, they truly are so easy to follow! And I always read through your comments and other posts as well because I love how real you are, it uplifts me to read your posts!
Yesss. We have made and loved the peasant bread, couscous basil salad, cranberry jello salad, shrimp pesto pasta, and the chicken enchilada casserole. All of those are gold medal recipes for sure! Looks like I’m falling behind in the chocolate arena, though…need to get on that!
Don’t know just when you started including nutritional information but I’d like to thank you for doing so. Happy New Year!
P.S. yummy enchilada casserole!
Too many great recipes this year, so I guess there was no room for your Yogurt Flatbread on this list, but that was our favorite! Thanks for all the amazing recipes. Here’s to a happy New Year!
Mel, thanks so much for sharing this list with us! I’m going to make the Rice Krispie treats for dipping in our chocolate fondue (another of your recipes!) tonight! My family loves all of your recipes, and I look forward to finding your emails in my inbox!! I wish you and your family a healthy and blessed 2022!
The brookie pie was one of my favorites, too! In fact, I liked it so much, I made it as my birthday “cake” for my birthday. Thanks for all the super yummy recipes over the course of the year!
I LOVE the cranberry pomegranate salad. The texture with all the crunchy fruit is amazing. I made it for Thanksgiving and there wasn’t nearly enough leftover (because everyone loved it!) Happy New Year, so grateful for you!
