Top 17 Recipes of 2017!
Here are the best, most popular recipes as indicated by my awesome readers in the year 2017 (and a few of my personal favorites)!
I wasn’t planning on posting a roundup of my most popular recipes of 2017, but after being inundated with requests/comments/emails this week asking to do just that, I couldn’t help but give in.
I love you guys, what can I say.
{I think some of you were hoping for a bit more excitement after I posted the TWO most popular recipes earlier this week – apparently potatoes and frosting didn’t really do it for you.}
So while Brian drives our family through the wilds of Idaho back home after being in the mountains, I’m grateful for cell phone internet access, google analytics, and a DVD playing in the car keeping the kids occupied while I pop in and let you know the 17 most popular recipes I posted this year!
I was a little surprised not to see very many sweets (ahem, chocolate) on this list, but I can’t blame you for loving the recipes below.
If I had to pick a personal favorite from the list, that Monterey chicken recipe would be very, very high up there.
And just because I can’t help myself from sharing, two recipes that would be in MY top fave but didn’t make the list below:
Yum Yum Bowls
Super Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
The Super Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies were definitely one of my favorites this year too. I’ve made them a lot since you posted them. I use the TJ chocolate chunks, and they catch people off guard. “Wait, this is chocolate…but not chip-shaped…what am I eating???” But they like them. Thank you!
Hi Mel,
I made the Cheesy Hash Brown + Egg Casserole for Christmas morning and the whole family agreed it was outstanding. It worked great assembling on Christmas Eve and then baking in the morning. Wonderful! Your blog is my go-to for recipes that are great and work the first time! Happy New Year!
Deb
Thanks so much, Deb!
I would love to take some credit for the popularity of the Honey Cilantro Chicken. I put that sucker all over social media. I NEED EVERYONE to eat that dish. YUM.
Haha. Thanks, cute Kate! 🙂
I am surprised by this list, but just goes to show how people are eating differently these days with less emphasis on dessert and sweets,,,,gasp!
The recipe I think is the absolute BEST…Mel’s Sandwich Bread made with quinoa…absolutely the BEST. Thanks, Mel!
I agree – that bread is the BEST!
I’ve made 6 of these recipes, and I’ve thought about making 5 more. You share delicious food! Thank you!
What kind of instant pot make/model do you use? I’m looking into getting one.
Thank you
Hi Christi – I have both the 6 quart (7-in-1) and the 8 quart, and I love them both, but if you aren’t cooking for a large family or for a crowd, I think the 6 quart is the best choice.
Hi Mel, I have made the Korean Beef and the Cheesy Chicken Skillet Bake, with a few small changes and both were absolutely delicious. I really don’t do a lot of sweet cooking these days, but I do still love looking at new recipes, thanks, as always for your inspiration. Mel you have sold me on the Instapot, I don’t know if they are available in Australia, I will have to do a bit of research. Safe travels and I wish you all a happy new year.
Kind regards
Fi
