Crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps
Holy moly, these crispy chicken bacon ranch wraps are so crazy delicious, you won’t believe it. Plus, they take just minutes to throw together!
Get ready for the recipe that my kids have been begging me to make every day for the last month. The recipe that inspired awkward hugs and “you’re the best cooker ever” sentiments.
The recipe that is literally one of the tastiest things we’ve ever eaten. And the best news? It can be yours in less than 30 minutes.
Crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps
I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that four simple ingredients really can change the world:
- chicken
- spinach
- bacon
- ranch dressing
And for extra oomph, try adding a tablespoon of dry ranch seasoning. It takes that ranch flavor up and over the top.
This jumble of deliciousness is about to become your new BFF once it’s sandwiched inside a cheese-laden tortilla and cooked until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Crispy Wraps
Making these wraps is really easy. We’re modeling them after the beloved, popular crispy southwest chicken wraps. If you’ve made those, you’ll know that this method is brilliant.
- sprinkle cheese over a burrito-size tortilla (you want a really nice melting cheese here: Monterey Jack or a jack/cheddar blend or a quesadilla cheese)
- spread filling in a wide strip over the cheese in the center of the tortilla
- fold one side of the tortilla over the filling
- fold the other side over the top sealing everything in a very unscientific tri-fold
Griddle the Wraps
I like to spray both sides of the wraps with nonstick cooking spray (alternately, you can lightly brush with olive oil). The reason being: it helps the wraps get extra golden and crispy while they cook.
Throw the wraps seam-side down on a hot griddle or preheated nonstick skillet on the stovetop. Cooking them seam-side down first helps seal the wraps so they don’t fall apart while cooking and flipping.
Cook them on both sides until deliciously golden and until the filling and cheese are piping hot and melty.
Prepare to Be Impressed
These crispy chicken bacon ranch wraps are incredible. Like, beyond incredible.
We’ve eaten them warm, cold and everything in between, and honestly, there’s nothing like them. If you are a fan of any variation on the bacon/ranch theme, I think you’re going to love these babies very much.
I threw them together on a whim one night when I noticed the spinach nearing the end of it’s perky life. I thought my kids would balk at the green “stuff” messing up the cheesy bacon situation, but every single one of my kids professed their undying love for these wraps.
I’ve made them several times since the first inauguration. And, I’m here to tell you: they just don’t get old.
The biggest draw is that they make such a fast, simple weeknight dinner. And if you’re in that phase of life where dinner needs to be grab-and-take-with-you, then the value of these wraps just exponentially increased.
We’ve also learned that they make great leftover lunches (and have subsequently been packed and whisked away in school lunches), which means in good faith, I should issue this fair warning: the leftover wraps may inspired elbows to be thrown and words to be spoken in argument – or defense – of who “deserves” the leftovers.
What to Serve With This
- Fresh fruit or Honey Lime Fruit Salad
- Fresh veggies (with ranch dressing) or 5-minute skillet broccoli
- Chips

Crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps
Ingredients
- 3 cups (425 g) cooked, chopped chicken
- 2 cups (57 g) lightly packed baby spinach, chopped
- 6 slices (72-80 g) bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ½ cup ranch dressing (see note)
- 1 tablespoon dry ranch mix (optional – see note)
- 1 ½ cups (170 g) shredded cheese (see note)
- 6 burrito-size tortillas (10-inch)
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the chicken, spinach, bacon, ranch dressing and dry ranch seasoning (if using). Stir together until evenly combined.
- To assemble: sprinkle about 1/4 to 1/3 cup cheese across tortilla. Spread 1/3 to 1/2 cup filling in a wide strip down the center of the tortilla. Fold one side of the tortilla over the filling, followed by the other side. Press lightly to flatten.
- Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet on the stovetop to medium heat (about 350 degrees for an electric griddle).
- Spray the seam side of the wraps with nonstick cooking spray or lightly brush with olive oil (this helps them get extra crispy).
- Place the wraps seam-side down on the preheated griddle or skillet (cooking this side first will help them not fall apart). Cook until golden brown and crisp, about 2-4 minutes, pressing lightly with a spatula to flatten a bit while cooking.
- Spray the top with nonstick cooking spray or brush lightly with oil and flip. Cook for another 2-4 minutes, pressing lightly with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden and the filling is hot and melty.
- Cut the wraps in half and serve warm.

I made these tonight, and they were delicious and easy! Thanks!
Another hit!
Delicious and perfect for busy weeknight. I have a family of 6 so we didn’t have leftovers. Next time I will double the recipe because everyone was hoping there was some for lunch the next day! Thanks for another great recipe.
My family loved this recipe!
Have you tried these with Spinach tortillas? Or any other flavored tortilla?
I’ve made them with tomato basil tortillas and they were yummy!
We loved these! I had onions to use up, so I sauteed one and added that in, too. My husband said these were the best thing I’ve ever made for us! 🙂
Loving this recipe; so simple yet so delicious! Made this like a quesadilla…yummm.
Super yummy. SUPER easy and fast! All 4 kids liked it, so that’s basically a miracle in my house. And even though they complained about the spinach: “what’s that green stuff?” they ate it without further complaint. As a note to anyone else making this – I DID add the recommended tablespoon of ranch seasoning – I think that really amps up the flavor.
I finally made these and they were so good!
I thought these wraps would be good, but I was not prepared for just HOW good they are!! Took 10 minutes to make and they are sooo delicious! As always, thanks for the very best recipes!
I”ve made these twice since you posted the recipe and they are a HUGE hit in my house!
These are so good and super easy to make. I didn’t have fresh spinach but had a bag of frozen spinach I keep on hand for smoothies. So, I chopped up the spinach still frozen and added it to the bowl of chicken and bacon.
This is my second time making them and the kids and hubby all really love them. I suggest doubling the recipe so no one has to argue over the leftovers….which are phenomenal when reheated in the air fryer!
These received rave reviews from the whole family. The ingredients can be ready in advance which is most helpful. Thank you for another winner!
Should I boil chicken breasts or cook, them in a pan with oil. If I cook them in a pan could you please tell me what spices if any I should use? Thanks
You can do either, Sue – the best tip with any method of cooking chicken is to cook just until done so it isn’t tough. I’d stick with simple salt and pepper here.
Made this for dinner this week and couldn’t wait to eat the leftovers. Seriously SO good!! Mel, you”ve done it again!!
We have made and loved the crispy southwest chicken wraps for years, so I was anxious to try these. My friend and I both made these this past week and they were a hit for both families. They were wonderfully easy and even my kiddos who don’t particularly care for ranch happily ate them.
I made these tonight and they were even better than expected. So so good! I mean, it’s hard to wrong with bacon, ranch, and cheese, but somehow the simple ingredients in this recipe make a whole that is more than the sum of its parts. Seriously so good. I’m making these again for sure!
These are a new family favorite! The leftovers for lunch the next day were equally amazing!
My whole family loved these. My daughter even took some the following day for lunch and loved it cold. Thanks!
Yes.!!!Cant wait to try tihis.’
Very good. I also like the southwest chicken wraps. I added some rice to these and baked them instead of cooking one by one.
My family LOVED these! I made them just as you prescribed. I did however grill them with a tiny bit of left over bacon grease. The bacon, chicken and wraps all cooked quickly on my pancake griddle. A giant winner! Thank you Mel for sharing your love of cooking with us!
Everyone in my family loved these, including 3 kids. Very yummy and a great on-the-go format. I grilled up a batch for soccer night so the kids could eat them in between games. Served with fruit and pretzels on the side. It was a winner! Though the soccer team was not. Ha!
Hahahaha.
Another winner Mel! I cooked bacon earlier in the week for BLTs and used a rotisserie chicken breast so the recipe came together quickly – and there were a couple leftover for the weekend – whoop!
Hope all is well 🙂
Instead of making these one at a time for my family of 6, I put them in a pre-heated 400 degree oven, sprayed cooking spray on the top of each wrap, flipped after 6 minutes and sprayed the other side. 6 more minutes and they were done. So much quicker than pan-frying and they were still melty, crisp and delicious!
Brilliant!
These are soooo good. Really remind me of Costco chicken bakes. We make them often using a similar method but using pizza dough. This is great for a faster version of it. I didn’t have spinach and green onions worked as a great substitute.
Simple, easy and delicious! Paired mine with some fresh tomatoes and avocado. Used a Costco chicken. I also bought the Ranch Dry Mix at Costco. So, so, good.
Loved it!
Cooked chicken in the crockpot with ranch seasoning and chicken broth. Probably added a little extra ranch and a little extra ranch seasoning (and okay, definitely extra bacon) to our filling – so tasty and so easy!
Thinking about throwing in tomatoes next time. Thoughts?
I think that’s a great idea, Emily!
DELICIOUS!! My family loved these! They came together quickly. Thanks for another winner Mel!!
These are so good. They will definitely be a regular at our house.
The whole family loved these! I used the fiesta ranch packets from Hidden Valley (because that’s what I had) and it was really good. Thanks for always making our lives easier with great dinner recipes.
Oh yum! I bet that little kick from the fiesta ranch was delish!
Made these tonight and we loved them. So easy and delicious! Thanks for another winner Mel!
Thanks for taking the time to comment and let me know, Amy!
These were delicious and so simple to put together! Definitely a repeater for us.
Thank you, Madison! We’ve been eating them on repeat as well.
Delicious!! I used canned chicken and microwaved bacon because I was in a hurry. Turned out soo good.
We use the low carb tortillas(they are softer than the regular!) Even the 18month old ate it.
You’re the best Mel!
Glad the shortcuts worked out, Anna!
Absolutely delicious!!! Perfect exactly as is…. We may throw a little buffalo wing sauce in the mixture next time so we can rotate between the two!
Oooh, I like the idea of buffalo wing sauce, Suzanne!
These were so good. I wrapped mine more like a burrito and baked them, and they came out perfect. A meal that everyone in the family loved.
Always looking for quick filling dinners and this was a winner.
Great idea, Chrissy!!
Mel, this came at just the right time. In need of some new quick wrap recipes. Made them for lunch today and we loved them. I added just a little less ranch dressing. Perfect, thank you.
Thanks so much for letting me know, Teresa!
These look very good and I’m going to save them, but how do you get 3 grams of carbs when you are using a burrito sized tortilla?
Someone else asked that, too…I input all the ingredients into a nutrition calculator tied to the recipe plugin/card I used. I’ve double checked over and over and that’s the nutrition facts that spit out. I don’t calculate it myself – always a good idea to get a second opinion when in doubt. 🙂
Great weeknight meal. Quick, easy, everyone loved it!
Thanks, Koleen!
I will definitely be trying these!
p.s. my two cents. Your blog remodel looks lovely, but I miss having the published date at the top of new posts. It always bugged me when bloggers started getting rid of those and I was glad you had left them. I feel so lost when I look up recipes and don’t know if they were published in 2013 or 2021, or pre-2020. I don’t know, I just like that anchoring landmark. It gives me perspective.
I like knowing the dates too. I don’t know why but it makes things easier.
The date is at the bottom of the post. Right above where the comments start.
Yep you’re right. Guess I missed it.
Hi Monica and Angela, thanks for the feedback. I moved the date to the bottom below the recipe to free up some of the clutter at the top of the blog post. I’ll reevaluate things in the next couple of months (I’m keeping track of all the feedback!) and maybe end up putting them back up there. Thanks for your thoughts! 🙂
I miss the date at the top too.
I have literally been making your recipes from the beginning. Tonight I made these (using Costco chicken and Costco bacon bits) my son said this was his favorite Mel’s recipe. My daughter said even the desserts? He said yes. My new favorite meal. Perfect combo of everything! Knocked it out of the park with this o e.
I’m so happy these wraps were such a hit, Julie!! Thanks for letting me know!
These look delish! Definitely giving these a try!
Can these wraps be frozen?
They probably freeze pretty well after being griddle cooked (and then cooled).
More like a question.. is this recipe keto? I’d love it if it was. It says in the macros. 3 gr of carbs per wrap. How??? What brand of tortillas are you using??
Thanks
Hey Mari – I’m not super familiar with what makes a recipe keto or not, so I don’t know if this is a keto recipe? I use the Mission brand of tortillas.
Making these ASAP! This is exactly what I need on weeknights when we’re running like crazy!
What ranch do you recommend and what ranch mix so you recommend? After making homemade ranch I can never go back to store bought. It tastes too much like chemicals! But if you have one you recommend I would try it!
The Trader Joe’s ranch and Litehouse brand of refrigerated ranch are both so good! And I love the dry buttermilk ranch seasoning from Penzeys.
Can the crispy chicken wrap be made with tuna? Would love to see some tuna recipes.
Sure! You could definitely try subbing in tuna.
This sounds fantastic! We have sandwiches for dinner once a week and I’ve been looking for winter worthy ones! ( We also have fish, breakfast and soup/salad once a week for dinner… makes meal planning easier!) I’ll be making this soon! Thanks Mel!
I love the sound of your weekly dinner plan, Sandy! We eat sandwiches quite a bit for dinner, too.
So simple and just what we needed for those nights when everybody’s going a different direction. My boys will love them!
They have been such a hit with my boys!
What kind of bacon do you use? I’m not a fan of those giant pieces of gristle. Hence, I usually buy turkey bacon. Give me your thoughts, thanks!
Turkey bacon would work great! Lately, I’m a big (lazy) fan of the precooked bacon strips from costco.
I love Costco. Thanks for the tip!
I have tortillas and sling mix I need to use up today. Mel to the rescue!
*spring
Spring mix would be fantastic as a sub for the spinach!
Would it be possible to freeze these before grilling?
If it were me, I’d freeze them after grilling!
Following….I was wondering the same.
I am desperate for quick, grab and go food and meals for my teens and I can’t wait to make these wraps! Thank you so much for sharing even the simplest of recipes for people like me who are in a rut but need to feed people!
I hear you, Melanie! Grab and go meals are essential some nights of the week. Hope you guys like this one!
