10 Most Popular Recipes in 2022 {Plus, My Personal Favorite Picks}
Wrapping up 2022 with a list of some of the most popular recipes on my site this year!
There are several factors to help decide which recipes are “the most popular” – pageviews, recipe reviews, social media tags, and just general “ermagersh, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS NOW” comments.
Today, I thought it would be fun to include two separate “most popular” lists.
- The 10 most popular recipes from just 2022 (recipes posted this year).
- The 10 most popular recipes in the entire history of Mel’s Kitchen Cafe.
And then because I really like to hear myself blog, I included a few of my all-time personal favorite recipe picks at the very end!
Have you made any of the recipes below??
Happy New Year, friends! Thanks for making it a great year!

Mel, I love your site and know I can trust any recipe you post. There are so many I still have to try. I appreciate this “best of” post because I know these are the cream of the crop. Thank you for sharing!
Just want to tell you that I am thankful for you, Mel. For years now, you have been my go-to.
My children seriously think you are my friend the way I talk about you.
You are awesome! Thank you for the goodness you bring to the world!
Made the soft/fluffy dinner rolls for Thanksgiving/Christmas & they are now everyone’s favorite. Thank you for your blog and dedication to excellent, made at home food. You are my go-to blog for a variety of recipies.
You are my go to spot on the internet for baking and cooking and yet it’s funny to me that I’ve only made one of the above recipes. I don’t feel like I’ve been slacking but maybe so!
But the one I’ve made is a doozie winner and I’ve made it multiple times! That Sesame Thai Chicken Dip! Holy smokes!
People! If you haven’t made that yet, get on it!
Just made the chocolate fondue tonight! Delicious and incredibly easy! We also love the chocolate cake and the swig cookies! Amazing recipes! But I agree-where’s the beach street chicken?! It’s one of my all time favorite recipes ever! Gotta try the Thai dip soon… 🙂 happy new years!
Wow I am surprised by the all time top ten! What a great list. I admit, I feel injustice on behalf of the recipes posted later in 2022. how can December recipes compete with those that have been around since January? Lol I know it really doesn’t matter, just musing here.
I am always surprised at what makes the list, fun to see each year. I have been wanting to make the blended oatmeal cookies for months! Gotta move that up on the priority list!
Your Chocolate cake is my go to for all my kids’ birthdays, we can’t get enough. And the Peasant Bread became a favorite the first
time I made it. I love that the 60 Second Mug Cookie is in the most popular of all time!
My favorite recipe of the year was the Roasted Asparagus Lemon Orzo Salad which is just so so good. Also really love those blended oatmeal cookies, the easy cheesy breadsticks, and I made your zucchini Tex Mex skillet meal to use up zucchini and had happy kids eat it up so it was a win as well.
Thanks for all the great recipes! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next year! Would love to see more Thai or Indian inspired dishes 🙂
I made the zucchini skillet countless times over the summer. It was so easy and such a good way to use zucchini. And my two year old ate it, not realizing the “keeni” was in there. I love these posts, I’m inspired to try some of the recipes I haven’t tried yet!
I adore the vineyard chicken grape pasta salad. It’s so good.
I also love the Tex Mex zucchini one. A great way to get more veggies in the diet.
Not to take away from the current lists, but where are White Chicken Chili, Beach Street Lemon Chicken Pasta, and Chocolate Ginger Molasses cookies ????
Please don’t ever drop your copycat SWIG recipe off your personal favorite recipe list! They are SO delicious. I could probably live with these cookies as my only dessert for the rest of my life!
Absolutely love the no knead sourdough recipe. It has become my go to and we make it once a week. Perfect to use up that sourdough, goes so good with soup, and makes the absolute best french toast the next day. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Totally agree with you on those Korean tacos. They are a family favorite here!
I make the French Bread Rolls all the time. This Thanksgiving I mixed in fresh chopped rosemary and brushed the top with olive oil and sprinkled the top with rosemary and kosher salt. Yum. Love them as is. Love additions.
Mel,
I’ve been here for 12 or so years and just love you, your recipes and your family. So fun to watch them grow.
I love two sections that I haven’t seen recently: what I posted 1-10 years ago and this weeks menus. I hope you plan to include them in 2023.
Have a fantastic new year. Just love love love your blog and obviously have made a ton of your recipes. Thanks for being you.
On the bottom of the main page, it shows her weekly menu on it. You have to scroll through many, many good options and try not to be distracted by all the good food links. Hope that helps.
I have made this french bread so many times, I could do it in my sleep! My family can easily devour a loaf (and a half, sometimes) along side a pot of soup. I used it in my dressing at Thanksgiving, and will be making some for pizzas tomorrow night. People just get happy when they see it cooling on the counter. Thanks for such a reliable standby recipe!
I made mass quantities of the Vineyard Chicken & Pasta Salad (with your spinach-artichoke dip) for a family reunion this summer and again, day-after-Christmas. Always gets rave reviews. Also made no-knead peasant bread as holiday gifts for neighbors. Lots of good ones on this list – THANK YOU, MEL!
