Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, friends.
It’s been an interesting year for me and for our family. Time, the sneaky thief, has a way of marching forward without regard to my tender human feelings. (Read: “Hey, Time, SLOW DOWN, dang it!”)
I’ve felt the highest of highs and lowest of lows this year, and through it all, I have been reminded over and over how deeply grateful I am for this imperfectly perfect family of mine and for a loving and merciful Savior, Jesus Christ.
Without Him, I would certainly be lost amid life’s stormy waters. I am so deeply grateful for His redeeming mercy and love and for the gentle reminders this poignant time of year of his birth and life.
I know that I don’t know many of you “in real life,” but from the depths of this homebody, blogger heart, I very much wish each of you an intense and abundant measure of peace and joy and love and happiness.
I hope you can feel through this silly little screen how much I treasure and value you – your kindness, loyalty, and the time you choose to spend here when time is so incredibly precious. Thank you for being here and for inspiring me in so many ways.
See you in the new year! 💗💗

I love how personable you are and have remained that way all these years as other blogs turn into what feel like corporate magazines. I have two boys (ages 9 and 12) and love reading stories about you, your family, and your adventures. Wishing you much health and happiness in the New Year! ❤️

Merry Christmas, Mel! I love your corner of the internet.
Whenever I make something, whether it is a cookie or an entree, my family always asks, “Is this a Mel?” Usually, it is!
You are a gift from God, and a blessing to me. Have a merry, merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Mel and Family! I know I don’t know you IRL but am so thankful for you. You’re down to earth style, love for your family, recipes, and sweet personality all shine through your words and pictures. My family almost always asks if this is a Mel recipe when I make something new. You’ve saved my tush on more than one occasion when I’m in need of a quality recipe right away that will impress our foodie friends or a gift idea for the hard to buy for crowd. From one homebody Momma to another Thank You!
