- Top 8 Most Popular Recipes from 2024 (from the recipes posted just this year!)

Top 4 Mel’s Favorite Recipes from 2024
These recipes are my personal faves from this year!
Which of these recipes have you made? Do you have any favorites that didn’t make the list?
Happy new year, friends! 🎉
Hi Mel, I enjoy using your site for many of my baking efforts, and appreciate all of the great ideas. May I ask what tool you use to convert cups to grams? I often get different weights when I check. Thank you!
Hi Linda, thanks for being here! I don’t use a tool to convert cups to grams…rather, I test all my recipes using specific weights. For instance, all of my recipes use 142 grams of flour per cup, 212 grams of granulated sugar per cup, 100 grams of oats per cup, etc. It’s best to follow the weight measures given in a recipe because the recipe has been tested with those particular measurements rather than converting with online sources (which differ depending on which one you use!). Hope that helps!
I both made and searched for a lot of these recipes in 2024. French bread rolls is going to be my number 1. Korean Beef Bowls are being made this week.
Maybe for variety, can you do a list of the top 11-20 recipes of yours in 2025, but only if they are posted in 2024 and earlier. Or a top 5 of certain categories. Either way, I am still coming and making my food from ya.
So fun! I never seem to line up with very many popular ones. I made your parmesan cream corn for a family gathering today and got asked for the recipe!
Something that bugs me if I think about it too much is that the 2024 December recipes just don’t have as good a chance as the January recipes, haha.
I recommend your website all the time! Thank you for being around for so long!!
Haha, you aren’t wrong about that. The later-posted recipes in the year don’t stand a chance…so the results have to be taken with a grain of salt. Thank YOU for being here, Monica!
I just made the Garlic Butter Rice AGAIN yesterday, it’s been my favorite new recipe, we can’t get enough of it! I’d say your Creamy White Chicken Chili and Perfect Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins continue to be favorites year after year. Thank you Mel, you truly are my best kitchen helper. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your favorites, Melanie! Happy new year! So happy and grateful you are here.
Longtime fan from the beginning.
Beach street linguine always a fave!
New fan of French bread, your mom’s lasagne, and blackberry crisp! All 3 were part of Christmas this year.
That beach street linguine is a longtime favorite!! So happy you love it, too.
Mel, do you plan on having a sale on your cookbook any time soon? Also, do you plan on having them available in bookstores? Your blog has always been my go-to whenever I have needed a great recipe. The posole has been an absolute favorite of our entire family.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and your family activities. It is just refreshing to hear them. Reminds me of raising our family off five very active sons.
Appreciate all your time and work.
Virginia
Hi Virginia! I did a big sale on cookbooks in November/December; I don’t have another sale planned soon, but perhaps around Mother’s Day? I am in talks with a few bookstores to see about getting them on shelves there. I’ll keep you posted!
Some of my favs this year was definitely the Korean beef bowls. So delicious. I also love your crispy bean and beef burritos. We made your quesadillas last night. Kids were like “whoah”! Those chocolate Reeces cookies are loved here. Lemon Orzo soup shows up a lot too. My family’s favorite soup of yours all time is definitely your coconut curry soup (with Penzeys curry now…so good), and the creamy chicken vegetable soup. They are both incredible. Happy New Year Mel! Very grateful for you.
Love hearing your favorites, Bri – and feel really grateful you’re still here after all this time.
I’m going to have to agree with the readers on the top 8 new recipes list. The sweet spicy sticky chicken is one of my favorite recipes from your site EVER. I love it! And that no-knead cheesy peasant bread? Wow. The top 10 list made me chuckle. I mean, the skillet zucchini dish is good, but is it TOP 10 MEL good? Hmmm, it makes me think that people are missing out and need to try even more recipes for 2025! Thanks for your list too; I haven’t tried any of those. The bread is calling my name now! HNY!
Haha, I think that every time I see the skillet zucchini and squash in the top 10 of all time. I think Google just likes that recipe and pops it in the top search results.
Sooo happy the Korean bowls got their rightful place in the top recipes of 2024. That recipe is such a winner!!! I always make it for family/the missionaries because it’s a bit different but everyone loves it and makes me feel like a rockstar.
I agree with that! (I make it for the missionaries, too…and it’s perfect for the ones who have simple tastes and they can customize it the way they want…i.e. just beef and rice, haha).
I made the Korean beef bowls for 30 people at our family reunion. They were such a hit! I absolutely love the flavors, the crunch, and that sauce!!
Such a great meal idea for a family reunion! Happy that recipe was a hit!
I’ve been making your French bread loaves this year for a group of teachers I mentor. They devour it!! But for this year’s Christmas Eve family dinner I decided to try your sticky toffee pudding cake since 5 of us had been in the UK this year. Oh my goodness—fantastic! Thanks to you, we have a new holiday tradition. So grateful for your recipes. They always turn out perfectly!! Happy New Year!!
Thank you so much, Paula!!
My daughter made the monkey bread this evening. Still warm in my tummy, so I can confirm it’s amazing!
She’s amazing!!
Loved the Korean beef bowls! They became an instant favorite!
We make those almost weekly – so happy you love them as well!
I made the Dollywood Cinnamon Bread but used my sourdough recipe for the dough and it was incredible. I had to send some to the neighbors while it was still warm or I would have continued to eat the entire loaf!
Haha, I have to get that bread out of my house pretty quickly, too. I’m excited to try it with my sourdough starter!
We love your bacon jalapeño popper dip too. It’s so delicious. But seriously Mel, your recipes are all good, healthy and easy to prepare. I also like that we have the ingredients on our pantry shelves.
Thank you and Happy 2025!
That means a lot to me, Debbie. Thank you! Happy New Year!
So many yummy recipes here. I’m still dying to try your Bulgogi from this year! It looks amazing.
It’s worth it! I hope you love it if you make it. Happy New Year, Julie!
Your lentil tacos are my top favorite recipe for the year! Life changing!
We also love the lentil tacos!!! They are a new staple!
I agree those lentil tacos are amazing (and I think often overlooked!). Glad you both have loved them!
Love the Yearly Fav Lists! Cranberry Jalapeño Dip, Molten Lava Cakes, skillet Zucchini, Garlic Butter Rice…all top notch recipes we make over and over. Have been meaning to try the Korean beef bowls and the pull apart cinnamon bread. Looking forward to putting those first in the meal plan next week! Happy New Year, Mel and Good eating to All!
Let me know what you think if you try those two recipes, Gail! Thanks for being here!
The garlic butter rice is a weekly staple around here these last few months!
Same!
Love the Yearly Fav Lists! Cranberry Jalapeño Dip, Molten Lava Cakes, skillet Zucchini, Garlic Butter Rice…all top notch recipes we make over and over. I’ve made the Jalapeno Popper Dip twice in the last month and it is a winner. The only thing I struggle with is getting it to have a kick. I can’t find green chiles in any heat other than mild. I subbed with a can of hot diced jalapenos which seemed to help. Great recipe!
I don’t think canned green chilies ever offer much heat. Try Bueno green chilies autumn roast if you can get it. It’s amazing. Found in the freezer section in some states. Also young guns green chilies In a plastic bottle by the salsa. Might try amazon and see what they offer
Hey Nicole – are you keeping the seeds and membranes in the jalapenos? That can help kick it up a bit!
That garlic shrimp pasta is AMAZING. We make it all the time for meatless Fridays. Thanks for continuing to blog, Mel. I’m sure there are times when you want to quit…but I have to tell you one of the highlights of my week is setting aside a few hours to make our meal plan and getting to peruse your website for ideas. You have made a huge impact for our family! I’ve never met you but I consider you my friend! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
You have no idea how much that means to me, Ashely. Truly. Thank you for being here and trusting the recipes. Appreciate you! Happy New Year!
YESSSS to the green beans almondine- it’s a weekly staple side dish here- love it!! (The skillet broccoli is another fav side dish!!)
I literally cannot stop making the green beans almondine. I’m so happy you love it, too!
Thanks for the list. I need to make or remake all of them. #goals love you friend
Love you, too.
How can it be that I have not made any of your top 10, or top 8??? But your Green Beans Almondine came just in time for me to make for Thanksgiving and it was fabulous. And…how can Honey Lime Chicken or Pork Enchiladas NOT have made the top ten list? Or your SWIG remake sugar cookies? Or your Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup? SO MANY Wonderful Mel’s recipes. And the cookbook is so beautiful. A treasured gift for many on my Christmas list this year! Thanks, Mel! You are loved in our family!
Haha, I know! So many great recipes that didn’t make the list (simply because other recipes got outranked traffic-wise). I love all of those, too! Thank you, Chris!
I have made 7 of the top 10. 4 of this year’s top 8, and only one of your top 4–the pumpkin chocolate chips cookies are amazing!!. I need to up my game! So many amazing recipes! Thank you, Mel! Wishing you a Happy New Year and the best for you and your family in 2025!!
I love knowing what you’ve made and loved, Jen. Seriously, thanks for being here!
