Merry Christmas
Thank you for being here.
Thanks for making it possible (through your views, comments, loyalty, emails, friendship, clicks, and more) for me to still exist in this space, too.
I am really grateful to still be sharing so much of what I love (not just food!), and am I grateful that you are here for the journey, too.
This year has brought many blessings and some challenges, too, to me and my family. Weirdly, I’m grateful for both.
The humbling moments are definitely teaching me how to rely on Jesus Christ more. My rough edges are slowly softening as I really try hard to be more like Him. And the blessings in my life are abundant, even more so when I make a conscious effort to notice and thank God for them.
We will be celebrating Christmas in a tucked-in, homebody manner as a family. We’ll be missing my son, Walker, who is serving a church mission in the Philippines 🇵🇭 💙, but grateful my older son, Jackson, can travel home for a few days to spend time with us. After Christmas, we’ll be traveling for a quick trip to Utah to celebrate the life of Brian’s sweet grandmother who passed away this week. 💗
I truly hope you have a wonderful holiday season and that you will feel a measure of peace in your heart through the unique and everlasting joy that is available during this time of year.
Happy new year! I hope this year is full of love, gratitude, hope, miracles and blessings! You inspire and bless my life every day!
Hoping you and your family have a blessed 2025. Your recipes have helped me feed my family throughout the years. Your cookbook was the only birthday present I asked for in 2024 🙂
Merry Christmas Mel, and I hope you have a very Happy and Healthy New Year !
And you look adorable in those glasses !
Merry Christmas! Many blessings to you!
Merry Christmas! I can’t thank you enough for your blog and cookbook. Just finished making your cinnamon rolls so we can have them for Christmas morning. Cooking and baking is one of the ways I can show my love and I am never let down by using any of your wonderful recipes. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas!
Merry Christmas and thank you for the wonderful recipes and cookbook over the years! We loved your tater tot casserole this morning, as we do each year on Christmas Eve morning. Blessings for a wonderful holiday!
Merry Christmas! You have a beautiful family, and I love your dress. Thank you for all of your wonderful recipes and the many hours of work that go into this labor of love.
Merry Christmas, Mel ! I cannot believe I’ve “known” you since before Cam was born !! My kids were toddlers at the time and it’s crazy how fast they all turned into teenagers. I bought my one daughter your cookbook for her last birthday and anytime she asks what’s a good recipe for x, I always tell her check Mel’s website first. Thank you for providing my family with so many food traditions. My other daughter has declared pull apart bundt bread the official mandatory Christmas bread lol. Thank you for being a friend in my head.
What happened to the holiday Sugar Rushes ? Lol
What a beautiful family!!! Merry Christmas. ( I have one of your egg bakes in the oven right now) 🙂
Merry Christmas Mel! We have our first Christmas with a child on a mission…our oldest is serving in Brisbane Australia. His companion is from the Philippines (and is 26 years old!). Thank you for being here and for being so real!
Mel,
Thank you for sharing such sweet and gracious words with us all. I hope you and your family have a safe, healthy and loving holiday season. Your honesty is so inspiring.
This beautiful comment says it all. Merry Christmas to everyone and a special thank you to you, Mel, for making my life and cooking skills more joyous!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas, Mel and family! This is the best spot on the internet, hands down! Hope you have a beautiful holiday and safe travels.
Merry Christmas Mel and family, Condolences on the loss of your husband’s grandmother. May the LORD comfort you all and hold you close at this sad time and also bring you blessings and peace at this most joyous time of year. Oddly…..both can happen simultaneously:) It’s certainly the case in my neck of the woods!!
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family! Thank YOU for sharing your recipes, life, tips, and heart with all of us. Wishing you joy and blessings! 🙂
Beautiful family! Merry Christmas 🎄!!
Merry Christmas Mel! You have a beautiful family. Thank you so much for all the recipes you’ve given us that have become part of our family traditions. I made 8 batches or Gloria’s famous cinnamon rolls for teachers, family, friends and our church elders. Your recipes are part of the daily life of our family.
I hope you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas together.
Merry Christmas to all. It is always a joy to see the changes/growth from year to year.
Merry Christmas!! Your recipes bring my family so much joy! To name a few favorites— Mexican beef, foolproof pizza dough, Thai chicken dip, instant pot ziti…. And those are just what we’ve made this week! Thank you for sharing so much with the world! It’s a happier, more delicious place because of you!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thank you for sharing your skills and life with us. Wishing you many blessings.
Merry Christmas Mel and the whole family! Thank YOU for sharing your heart and testimony, your family, games you love and of course, the recipes!!! You are in my kitchen daily and I don’t know what I’d do without you.
I had the opportunity to make soup for a luncheon for Elder Renlund, his wife Ruth, and some other local leaders. I made your Creamy Sausage Tortellini. It was an absolute hit. The kitchen crew told me that my crock pot was scraped clean and people were asking for the recipe. It’s always a winner!!!
Merry Christmas Mel
Merry Christmas! I am always grateful for your recipes! They are the main source of food for my family, week in and week out. I hope you enjoy your homebody Christmas and getting to celebrate Brian’s grandmas life with family after Christmas. I am making a bunch of cookies today for the holiday and for neighbor gifts – two recipes are from your site; Chocolate peanut butter buckeye cookies, but with an Andes mint melted on top of each one instead of the peanut butter frosting and ganache (which is also delicious!) and your soft and chewy ginger molasses cookies. I can’t wait to eat them! (Plus three kinds of shortbreads and spritz cookies).
MERRY CHRISTMAS 💚❤️
Thank you for continuing to be here ! You have blessed my life and made it better now for many, many years ! Meeting you in person was for sure one of the highlights of 2024 for me ! Lots of love to you and your family this holiday season and always 🥰
So sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Hope all goes smoothly for your trip.
We’re so glad you are here sharing all the things with us, too! 😊 Beautiful family photo; Merry Christmas, Mel!
Merry Christmas, Mel!! Thank you for all you do here. Good food can be a balm to the soul, and I’m so grateful you have not only touched my family and me, but also anyone we’ve shared it with. Hope your Christmas is wonderful!♡
